Safety

Doctors recommend the use of a cushion with the basin for client safety*

Over extension of the neck at the basin can lead to Beauty Parlour Syndrome.

On September 20th 1997, the venerable British medical journal THE LANCET published an article which carried a warning of a potential risk at the hairdressers; that danger is a stroke.

The article stated that hairdressers often wash their customer’s hair with the neck stretched so that the head is back over the sink. The risk of stroke comes from the over extension of the neck. Doctors logically recommend that the neck is not over-extended and that a cushion be used with the chair to help avoid this hazardous position.

*Nekeze has not been medically tested, it has been designed for comfort at the basin.
